Again difficult Thaci-Vucciq meeting in September

This has been made known for Koha.net Maja Kocijancic, spokeswoman for Federica Moghrini, European Union for Foreign Policy High Representative. She has said this decision was made by the last July 18th meeting between the two presidents.

“at the recent summit of the High-level Dialogue, which High Representative Federica Moghrini, both Thaci and Vucinqii agreed to re-date in early September”, Kocijancic has said of Koha.net.

She said dialogue has been facilitated by the EU, and also aims to promote lasting co-operation between the two sides, which she said, “helps them reach more on the road to Europe and improve people's lives”.

“A sustainable solution implies a realistic and sustainable solution under international law. The sides are setting the common basis for joint reconciliation”, Kocijancic said further.

Time.net has also contacted Bekim Colak, chief of President Hashim Thaci's Cabinet. He said they agreed that the meeting would be held early in September, but that they have not yet resulted in any exact date.

The “characters involved in the dialogue always have information and are co-ordinated and consulted with the EU for every meeting held in Brussels. True, the next meeting can be held in September, but we still don't have a defined date together. When that happens, then we'll make this public too”, Colak said.

The recent statements by US Ambassador to Kosovo Greg Delawi, who refused to deny the possibility that at the next meetings in Brussels, the issue of exchange of territories would also be discussed, sparked numerous reactions in the country. His statements, the president of Kosovo, have not commented. But, among other things, it has said there will be “painful agreements on Kosovo”.

Asked again about the president's stance on this subject, Colak has said of Koha.net that the US “Ambassador. Delaway has been very clear in his statements. The key to us is only American support to reach agreement”.

The position of the president of the country yesterday, today and tomorrow is consistent. Dialogue is the only way to reach a binding legal agreement that would end the year-long conflict between Kosovo and Serbia once and for all. To accomplish this, we need political and social unity. But the moment is now... ”, Colak said away.

On the other hand, Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has voiced opposition to the idea of exchanging territories with Serbia. He even said that if it came to this act, it would mean <x0 war>”.

Colak has said he does not want to comment on this prime minister's statement, but, as he said, “knows that even the prime minister will commit much to peace and final accord”.

In a press proposal after the June 18th meeting with Vucicin, Thaci described this meeting as a very serious “ ”.
