Daciq Acaroni: Nikolic will be guilty if Vatican recognises Kosovo

Serbia's Foreign Minister, Ivica Dacic, has said that if the Vatican recognises Kosovo's independence, then the blame will be former Serbian president Tomislav Nikolic. He has thus expressed himself, responding to allegations that have been brought to him for having invited Pope Francisco to visit Serbia. I have not harmed the state by proclaiming [...]
“I did no harm to the state by declaring the truth about the Pope's visit, but the damage was done to Tomislav Nikolic when he once invited him and then gave up the Catholic Church chief's visit”, Dacic said, reacting to the former head of state's allegations.
Nikolic had told the Belgrade daily “Novost” that Daciq “has caused damage to the state, through non-diplomatic action, by bringing to the opinion the equivalent of the president of Serbia with the Catholic Church Pope” without asking the Church (the word for our Orthodox APUy).
If he had to ask the Church, why didn't he ask him before sending the invitation” for a visit, he responded to Daciq, but at “Novosti”.
That's how we come out in "noserioise." While the pope is not only a religious leader, he is also a chief of state who has not recognised Kosovo and that is of great importance in fighting for our southern province. We will allow the pope to go to Pristina and not come to Belgrade. Then don't complain if the Vatican recognises Kosovo”, has been voiced, Koha.net broadcasts.
The Pope's visit to Serbia was agreed on in January 2016. It was then confirmed by the Vatican on May 21st and 22nd as the date of the visit, while it had arrived notes proposed that the Vatican delegation arrive in Belgrade on 24 January to begin preparations. But elections were then announced in Serbia, and this was used as a trigger for giving up the Pope's visit.
