The State Council of Quality sponsors 9 academic college programmes in Kosovo (Document)

The State Council of Quality (KSHC) has decided at the 57th meeting to remove the accreditation of 9 academic programmes at different universities in Kosovo. Other programs sponsored by this council, part of the High Education Public Barts, have been discussed at this meeting.
“State Quality Council (KSHC) of the Kosovo Agency for Accreditation (AKA) held the 57th upcoming meeting in which the suspended programme of the High Education Public Barts was reviewed, respectively, meeting the criteria related to the carriers of academic programmes for research programmes, as defined by the Administrator Guide for the Awards. After handling the state of academic staff and respective programmes, presented by the High Education Public Bars, The KSHC, based on legislation in effect, decided to withdraw accreditation for research programmes that do not meet the pre-price criteria with the Administration Guide for Accreditation and the legislation to power”, says the AKA communiqué.
The document also points to the decision by the Minister of Education, Science and Technology to dismiss the director of the institution.
“K SC welcomed the decision of Minister of Science and Technology (MASHT) for the dismissal of U. Mrs. KAA D. Director. Shyhrete Recica due to overcoming its competencies and continuing pressure in decision-making of KSHC members. K The SC considers that this decision ensures the functioning and independence of the AKA, as well as accounting decision-making of the KSHC. The KSHC discussed other issues, such as the functionisation of the AKA's complaint commission; implementation of standards and roadmaps to re-open the AKA; reporting before the Republic of Kosovo's Parliament Education Commission. K The US backed the AKA auditing process from relevant institutions based on their constitutional and legal competencies, for areas that could be subject to treatment by those institutions”, it is said further.
