This division from Serbia is seen as the possibility that the two countries will later be formally recognised among themselves and thus continue without conflicts towards the European Union.
While in Kosovo state officials have denied such an option for possible division, neither in Serbia is they satisfied with this version of partition.
The Serbian Orthodox Church has criticised the plan, saying any division meant losses for Serbia, as Kosovo is to be considered the Serb sanctuary.
