Hoxhaj: Kosovo's borders are immune

She made these comments on the occasion of placing the stone for the construction of the Kosovo-Macedonia border point in the village of Stanciq, where senior officials of Kosovo and Macedonia institutions participated, as well as the chief of the EU delegation in Skopje.

“I hope you will continue to work jointly on implementing jobs and further on in co-ordinating the achievements of the goals for the benefit of the citizens of both countries and the entire region”, Apostolova said.

The chief of the EU delegation to Skopje, Ambassador Samuel Zbogar, has said that this border point will influence positive economic development of local residents between the two countries, but also for the political stability of the wider region.

While Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj has acknowledged there has been delays in building this border point with Macedonia, but at last this project is being realised by significantly reducing the way that residents of these areas made in the past.

This project has a completely different meaning for the local Likova population in Macedonia, as well as for Gjilan in Kosovo, but it generally has a significant meaning for the entire population of this side. This crossing will facilitate the circulation of citizens of these municipalities and neighbouring municipalities, which is a prerequisite for increasing economic-market exchanges between these areas, a powerful potential to do business and ensure prosperity and economic prosperity”, he said.

Otherwise, this is the third common point between Kosovo and Macedonia, but what distinguishes this point is that it is built on the managed concept of the border, with a common border point, which enters the category of A point, which includes goods and travelers.
