Minister of the Ministry for the Kosovo Security Force, Rrustem Berisha and KSF Commander Lieutenant General Rakman Rama hosted NATO Special Operations Commander Vice Admiral Colin J. Kilrain, who was told that the KSF is ready to participate in peacekeeping missions to contribute to the preservation of peace wherever it needs.
Initially, Minister Rrustem Berisha and the commander of NATO Special Operations talked about the security situation in Kosovo, the region and beyond, and talked about the country's institutional capacities in the field of security, with particular emphasis on development, professionalism, advancement, and KSF co-operation with NATO member and partner states.
Also, Minister Berisha announced Deputy Admiral Kilrain's mission, tasks, capacities and commitment to the integration of communities, in particular the Serb community, then the integration of the female gender, as well as the commitment to increasing the level of interoperability with local emergency institutions, as well as those from partner countries.
Berisha later expressed to the senior guest from NATO, the operational and professional readiness of the KSF, that with some specific capacity, even in peacekeeping missions to contribute to the preservation of peace wherever there is a need.
Minister Berisha at the end of his meeting with Admiral Kilrain once again reiterated Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic orientation and KSF as the ready, reliable, multiethnic and represented by all citizens of the country.
While at the meeting of the commander of the Kosovo Security Force, Lieutenant General Beftman Rama and NATO Special Operations Commander, Vice Admiral Colin J. Kilrain talked about establishing, developing, professionalising, schooling training, participating in joint exercises in both the region and the wider, and also about reaching the extent of the FSK's interoperability with regional armies, those of NATO member states and partner countries.
According to an KSF communiqué, the visit of Deputy Admiral Kilrain continued at the KSF Civil Protection Regiment to see closely the professional capacity and equipment of the unit.
