Kosovo Parliament Speaker Kadri Veselin, at the meeting with the US delegation from Iwa, which is being held in the House's plenary meeting room, has said that Kosovo always needs American experience and love and that the friendship between Kosovo and the US will be eternal.
In his speech to over 50 American guests, Wessel has made a resume of ten years of Kosovo's functioning as an independent and sovereign state.
“in this room, 10 years ago, Kosovo, your second home, declared independence. The story that brings February 17th 2008 is full of pain and glory. It's over 100 years of generation effort for freedom and independence. An ideal that didn't fade away. But this era belongs to the past, to what remains our memory and inspiration. The state of Kosovo is now reality”, Veselin stressed.
He added that Kosovo this year has filled a decade of independence and two decades of freedom, during which our state has made giant steps in its consolidation: it has built stable institutions, built from scratch this land, with roads from the most modern in the region, with hundreds of new schools, with an example police, with a very professional military force, the factory has been opened and is gradually building a legal state, where each citizen is equal.
All this and many others, Veselin added, are not just the merits of the locals, but are contributing to all international friends.
It's a special contribution to each of you to help us improve our education, a more professional army, to advancing agriculture and culture. Kosovo always needs your experience and love. We are friendly states now 10 years, since Kosovo is a state, and we will be forever and ever. To help each other strengthen our ties every year. God bless America, Heaven and Kosovo”, Chief Prime Minister Wessel stressed.
The US delegation is headed by Zach Nun, representative of the Committee for International Relations, by Iowa State Capital and Timothy Orr, General of the National Guard of Iowa.
Members of the Commission for Foreign Affairs, Diaspodes and Strategic Investments are participating in the meeting, the Commission for Education, Science, Technology, Culture, Youth, Sports, Innovation and Entrance, the Economic Development Commission, Infrastructure, Trade, Industry and Regional Development, the Commission for Agriculture, Forestry, Urban Development, Environment and Space Planning, the Home Affairs Commission, Security and Supervision of the Kosovo Security Force and the Public Administration Commission, Local Government and Media.
