President Hashim Thaci has reacted to the ban that has been made to artist Eliza Hoxha on the border with Serbia.
He has said Serbia's actions are undermining the process of co-operation in the region.
Thaci's full status:
With concern is conveying the obstacles Serbia's authorities are making to Kosovo artists and young people who have started to participate in the “Good afternoon exhibition, Dobar Dan” in Belgrade.
The Serb police and the Belgrade city authorities have questioned the body of this cultural event.
Art, culture, sports should not be hampered by politics, especially when engaged in peace and reconciliation.
Moreover, this behaviour of Serbia's authorities is contrary to the spirit of co-operation that we are building in the region and contrary to efforts to place European reports among the countries of the region.
This becomes even more serious after clear messages given at the Sofia Summit between the EU and the Western Balkan countries that Southeast European countries have no European future without construction and normalising good inter-neighbourial relations. HTH
