More than two billion euros have been spent so far in our country for the construction of highways linking Pristina with Albania, Skopje, Pec, Mitrovica and finally Gjilan. Hich less than another 1 billion euros is expected to be spent on completing the works on existing highways, but also on the start of building the new 91km highway, which will connect Istog to Prizren.
Still without completing all the work on the construction of the Skopje Pristina highway, the Kosovo government has already started building the new highway, connecting Pristina and Gjilan.
Also during this period of time, the Government has initiated the design for building the last highway, which will link Prizren's Istog, which is expected to be higher than all other highways due to length, but also the large number of properties expected to be penetrated for its realisation, writes “Zri”.
Based on data from the Ministry of Infrastructure, only the realisation of the highway connecting Pristina to the border point in Morina has been spent about 1 billion euros.
Also, more than 600m euros will be spent on construction of the Pristina highway Skopje.
Hundreds of millions of euros in state budgets, donors, but also debts have been spent so far on the construction of two highways, which works have been launched long ago, that Pristina properly Peja, as well as the Pristina highway Mitrovica.
