Elshani: Kosovo has real chances for Interpol membership

Veton Elshani, leader of the Interpol membership task force in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, believes that by November, when the conference in Dubai will be held, Kosovo will have the deal with Europol.

“Banefi from membership is also of the region and Interpol as an organisation. We called last year for the postponement of the vote and were put on the agenda. We are trying to send the message that from our membership in Interpol there is interest in Serbia. We believe that we will all benefit from this and the states of the region”, Elshani said.

According to him without coming across borders, borders are not well secured.

The manger that couldn't hide it was not co-ordination between institutions, for Interpol membership. Now this coordination exists and I hope and I believe that this year we have the real chance to become part of Interpol”, Elshani said.
