The lack of jobs for blind persons, the 24-euro pay for blindness-responsive equipment and disrespect of the Law by the Ministry of Labour and Social Goods, never changing members of the Medico-Social Commission that check the blindness, have been some of the problems that have been raised during the discussion of the Law on Blind Persons, to the commission's meeting of human rights, gender equality, persons and petition, writes Koha Ditore.
Disagreements in this commission regarding non-compliance of the legal framework have developed between MPs and representatives of institutions. Nor have any clashes been missed between representatives of the Kosovo Association of Blinds and those of the Verber Independent Initiative. Solving problems have promised Minister of Labour and Social Management Skender Recica, as well as that of Public Administration Mahir Jagcilar. While Health Minister Ismaili Bridge, who has also been invited to report on the matter, has missed this meeting.
