The Parliamentary Commission for Human Rights, Gender Equality, for Ungenerated Persons and Parliamentary Petition of the Republic of Kosovo expressed regret over the case that took place in the village of Karacheva in Kamenica municipality.
The motive of the beating that ended with the death of the 14-year-old has been that the deceased had received money and spent without his father's knowledge, Koha.net reports.
The macabre image, which occurred on May 23rd 2018, in the village of Karacheva in the Kamenica municipality, has shaken public opinion in the Republic of Kosovo and is a signal for quick and permanent mobilization that such events do not repeat to us”, the parliamentary Commission for Human Rights's response said.
In addition, the case in question is also an indication that many institutional mechanisms are not at the level of tasks and responsibilities, for the adequate and professional treatment of people with defects of any nature, which represents a potential source of domestic violence.
“In this direction, our society, for competent institutions and specialised ones should provide specific conditions and standards for the treatment, supervision and isolation of potentially potential persons for causing any kind of domestic violence and in society”, is said to be further in response.
At the same time, this Commission says it finds it necessary to speed up the procedure of the Child Protection Bill to increase the efficiency of institutions for child protection.
