In December, Albania voted in favour of the UN resolution condemning the United States' decision to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, moving its embassy from Tel Aviv to this city.
But on the list of 32 countries present at the ceremony on Monday, we are also part of our country, according to Al Jazeera.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry announced that it has sent invitations to 86 countries that have diplomatic missions in Israel. 33 countries had confirmed their participation, and Thailand and Nigeria canceled it at the last minute.
Serbia and Macedonia, which in December took the same position as Albania at the UN, were represented at this ceremony and by the Balkans joined in the end by Romania, which abstained in the UN vote.
The issue of the American Embassy's shift to Jerusalem has troubled Bucharest. President Klaus Iohannis has crashed with Prime Minister Viorica Dancila for his stay, especially after Bucharest blocked a resolution of the 28 EU member states condemning Washington's decision to move the diplomatic headquarters.
The ceremony was accompanied by protests by Palestinians at the Gaza Strip. More than 55 protesters were killed by the Israeli army, and another 2700 were wounded.
