In T7, Thaci has said that Kosovo does not need to declare war on this issue to anyone, thus taking defense of Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdogan, with whom he says he spoke on the phone after this incident.
He indicated that with Erdogan, he discussed how there is no need for tension in the situation, following the arrest of gylenists.
Thaci said he believes Turkey is not an enemy of Kosovo, as it has been among the first countries to recognise Kosovo's independence.
I'm president for days, not days. I was informed by the authorities after the incident. It's something that shouldn't have happened. The security mechanisms must be revealed in detail as to what happened to the deportation of six jihadists. President Erdogan called me. What a president I am if I answer the phone. We talked about no need for tension, no need to declare war to anyone. Kosovo is neither gylenistic nor Erdogian. The decision on their deportation has not been political. The president does not deal with who is infiltrated by Kosovo and who does not --”, Thaci said.
He has called Erdogan's statement to Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj as unnecessary.
On the other hand, the Turkish president had thanked Thaci after the Egyptian deportation./Periscopi
