Kosovo police are continuing to conduct dangerous operations without health insurance even this year.
The deputy head of the Kosovo Police Union, Shaban Tasholli, in a campaign for the Arbresh portal.info has said they have made demands on the situation, though they have not yet received any concrete answers.
Both Kosovo citizens and members of the Kosovo Police have no health insurance. We've made government requests for health insurance, but there's still nothing concrete. From the last meeting he has been with the Minister of Finance, he has declared that they are under consideration, and he has also offered a proposal for accidental and vital security, but we still have none. Promises are but we continue to have no health insurance yet. This is what I've been talking about for years and I don't expect there to be anything concrete.”, Tasholli said.
Portal Arbresh.info has sent questions to the Ministry of Finance and MPB, but these two have announced it is not their competence.
Days earlier, Kosovo Police Director General Shpend Maxhun has expressed concern for Kosovo police officers, saying they too share their destiny with all other citizens of Kosovo in health insurance.
Maxhuni has said Kosovo police officers do not enjoy health insurance, and this, according to him, is difficult in view of the major problems facing police officials.
We lack health insurance for members of this organisation, we share the fate of all of Kosovo's people. We know it's working to get this Law into force in the long term and I believe that with the entry into force, the Kosovo Police will also enjoy it”, Maximi has indicated.
The Law on Health Insurance, although it does not isolate groups of society for health insurance, is still missing.
