Haradinaj appoints political persons to Trepca Board

Kosovo's government has violated the criteria for selecting members of the “Trepca” Watch Board, as it has appointed two political persons to Wednesday's meeting at the board of this enterprise.

Even though the contest says that “can't be chosen by the person who is either at any time during the 36-month period before the application date has been elected public official, appointed political or host of a leadership post, or decisionmaker in a political party, or is a member of the forums of political parties”, Haradinaj has appointed the AAK's assist in the Mitrovica municipality Assembly, the same as the candidate for mayor of the municipality from this party, Esat Peci, at the Board of the venture. He has also appointed the former Asamblist candidate for the last election from the initiative's ranks in Mitrovica, Feriz Fetah, writes Koha Ditore.

The government has named only 6 out of 9 members of the “Trepce Board”, leaving three open positions for the Serb community, for which the contest will open within weeks.

Contacted by the newspaper, Esat Peci said that the day before he stepped down from the post of asamblist and that being a member of a political party, according to him, should not prevent the appointment on this board, since, as he has said, he has fulfilled all the first criteria in the competition.
