In a reaction, the American diplomat says that Lella lies and that he is a corrupt official who is in danger of going to prison.
Lu even says his lie is insulting to Meta and the Albanian people.
“Former General Prosecutor Llala is a corrupt and discredited public official who is under active investigation for money laundering and unexplained massive assets. No wonder he continues to speak against reform in justice because he now risks going to jail for his corruption. He has claimed that within four months of my arrival in Tirana, I have told him to arrest former Parliament Speaker Ilir Meta. This is an absurd lie by Mr. Larel, no basis in fact. His insulting lie is an insult to President Meta and the Albanian people” é Lu in his reaction.
