The Employment Support Agency in Kosovo (APPK) today held the final meeting with 61 Kosovar job seekers, who in early September will begin schooling and three-year professional skills in the “Care/responsive to the elderly” in Germany.

Bedri Xhafa, general leader of the APPK, said the elected for nine months learned German, as well as qualified for a new life in Germany, Rtklive.com reported.

“Basically 9 months after a selection through a defined process, you worked hard with trainers to learn language as one of the very important criteria in achieving the goal. You also worked on the first integration activities that we value as a very important component, which you are preparing for a new life”, he said.

He said that thanks to this programme they are creating professional frameworks that will affect the country's development as well.

Cerkin Dukoli, deputy minister of the Ministry of Labour and Social Management, has stated that through this programme they have positively influenced employment and professional skills towards the labour market.

“The Ministry of Labour and Social Management has been co-operating from the beginning and has been an active part of the implementation of this legal migration programme of Kosovo citizens in education and professional skills in Germany, and for that we should all feel proud, because we have positively affected both employment and in preparing people for the 911 market, Dukoli said.

Jan Axel-Voss, Germany's deputy ambassador to Kosovo, has stressed that they are interested in helping Kosovo in terms of professional development.

Voss further said that in the Diaconia institutions, 61 Kosovo job seekers will be skilled in caring for the elderly, a profession that is very popular in Germany.

After this phase of training, you're going to Germany and there again you're going to resume a skill, and as we're told, you're going to be there as a professional training student. You know that you will all be in the institutions of Diaconia and there will be skills for caring for the elderly, a profession that is very much needed in Germany, as our society is increasingly aging”, Vos said.

And the international associate of Diaconia (Social Enterprises in Germany), Johannes Flothow, has pointed out that thanks to the work of past generations in Germany, even the fourth generation is very welcome in Diaconi.

“Since those in Germany who are in previous groups have committed a lot have shown good results, very good work, the representatives of the Diaconia institutions are still in Kosovo and want to continue the project, as they are very pleased with the work of those who have gone before you”, he said.

According to him, this project will continue in the years to come, in order for Kosovo youth to be given professional skills abroad.

Otherwise, this project of the Employment Support Agency in Kosovo (APPK) started four years ago in co-operation with the Diaconia institutions, and this is the fourth generation to continue professional training and schooling in Germany.
