The honourary chairman of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) and one of the initiators of the idea Slobodan Milosevic was to set up monuments in Belgrade, Milutin Mrkonjiq, is convinced that he will also have the support of Serbia's president Aleksandar Vuciq and his SNS party, Coha.net, broadcasting.
He has said so in an interview for the newspaper “vedchernji novosti”, while in question of where it will be located, he has responded that the memorial could be placed at the Student Square in the Serbian capital, where it was envisioned and the site of Zoran Djindjic's memorial.
Slobodan Millosevic is former arrested for war crimes in Kosovo, which he had handed over in 2001 to Zoran Djindjic while he was prime minister.
Less than two years of surrender in 2003 Djindjic was killed, thought by supporters of Milosevic, in the court of the Serbian government.
Milosevic died in The Hague prison three years later, in 2006.
Aleksandar Vuciq at the time of Slobodan Milosevic's regime and his wars against Albanians in Kosovo has been minister of intelligence.
