But who is Rade Serbdzija?
Rade Serbdzija is a prominent Serbian actor, but born in Croatia, into a Serb-Croatian family.
In 1969 he graduated from the Academy of Arts and Drama at Zagreb University. After graduation, he had started working as an actor at the National Theatre in Zagreb. Even as a student, Serbians had begun to play major roles in various theatre films and productions.
In 1964 he had visited the U.S. for the first time, where he had started attending classes at drama school. Initially, he had failed to achieve good roles until 1974, when he had debuted with his famous performance at the “Hamleti” at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, which had made Serbian acting star. During the same time, he had also infiltrated the film world when he assumed key roles.
