The student movement for equality Research-Chritic-action has today organised a symbolic action near the University of Pristina's Rectorate in protest of sexual harassment.
“We as students of the University of Pristina are witnesses to the sexting culture that surrounds us from roads to public institutions. The release of sexism is done by starting with text content such as “criminalistica” of Vesel Latifi, with silent and reasoning statements of the molesters, such as that of the Teuta Pustina ú Krasniqi and harassment made by former ministers, professors of the university, but many other cases that may never be reported, remaining forever silent”, the communique reported.
The SKV will be supporting all students in denouncing abuses and holding university representatives accountable for their ignorant and unfair statements and in changing literature that is essentially, in the language, behind the patriarchal mentality.
The projector must be held accountable, it must either admit the mistake and apologize and fight this phenomenon, or offer resignation. Sexting literature needs to be changed, and cases have to be tried, but not necessarily victims. Before the code to dress our attention must be brought to the code of behavior. So nobody asked what the molester was wearing, says the communique.
