When eight years have passed since the suspension of the agreement between Switzerland and Kosovo over the pensions of Kosovars who have worked and lived in Switzerland, the new agreement is expected to be signed today, Koha Ditore writes.
This is after Wednesday the Swiss Federal Council has approved the social security agreement between the state of Switzerland and Kosovo, and has authorised Swiss Confederate President Alain Berset to sign this agreement. The agreement is expected to be signed soon and it comes into force following the approval of both countries' parliaments.
This agreement is expected that their pensions will enjoy thousands of Kosovo citizens who have lived and acted in Switzerland, but that after retirement they have returned to Kosovo and no longer have the citizenship of that state.
