After a long time of interruption of dialogue with Serbia, the Kosovo delegation has continued negotiations. Kosovo delegation head Avni Arifi has met with Serbia's negotiator, Marko Djuric, on February 26th and 27th.
During these two days of meeting, it has been discussed implementing agreements reached during dialogue between the two countries.
Maja Kocijancic, spokesperson for the European Commission for Indexline, has shown details for talks two days in Brussels.
The key negotiators from Belgrade and Pristina, Mr. Marco Dyriić and Mr. Avni Arifi, together with their respective teams, met in Brussels on 26 February and 27 February for discussions on the implementation of various agreements reached between the two sides in the EU's relaxed dialogue. Mostly the agreement on Freedom of Movement, Justice, Association / Community of Serb Majority, Bridge in Mitrovica and Energy” has said Kocijanciq through an electronic response.
On the other hand, it has indicated that, along with negotiators, they have agreed that in the coming month, they will resume discussion on the implementation of agreements like the Mitrovica Bridge project and other projects.
“Dictions developed into a constructive spirit and resulted in a common identification of several issues and steps that must be addressed to move forward in the implementation work, further normalising their relations. They agreed to resume discussions on implementation of the Movement Freedom Agreements, IBM, the Association / Community of Serb majority municipalities, Mitrovica Bridge and Energy next month” has added Kocijanciq.
Otherwise, these technical talks were meant to begin on January 16th, but they were postponed for an indefinite date, because the Serbian side withdrew just that day in northern Mitrovica, Serbian politician Oliver Ivanovic was killed.
