The Vetevendosje movement has warned that it will submit the law for demarcation with Montenegro to the Constitutional Court, which was approved by 80 votes yesterday in the Kosovo Assembly.
MP Albulen Haxhiu has said that including the Bulliqi Commission report and the two presidents' declaration has only been to facilitate someone individually.
“We have many facts to deposit and object constitutionally to this ratification of MPs. Ten deputies within the eight-day deadline could take a vote to Constitutional”, she has said.
Periscop has contacted PDK deputy Blerta Deliu-Konder, who has said the demarcation issue is a matter committed and that Vetevendosje has no evidence to send to Constitution.
No, they absolutely don't have evidence. The demarcation was approved yesterday. It's their case as to how they proceed. With the importance that the agreement is already a matter carried out and has managed to get 80 votes from the Parliament's deputies. We will not comment at all on this case of prosecution of the demarcation agreement for the Constitutional Court.
The Vetevendosje movement has consistently rejected this agreement, which has already received epilogue from most MPs.
Even yesterday, this party chose to ratify the demarcation to stop it through dropping tear gas. Despite the disruptions and shocks that were caused in the Parliament's environments, 80 MPs managed to give their vote in favour of the border demarcation agreement with Montenegro.
The issue has dragged on for three years now, while the European Union and the friendly countries of Kosovo have welcomed the transition of demarcation, saying it is a key step towards visa liberalisation. /Periscope.
