Thaci at conference with Juncker calls for equal treatment for Kosovo

After meeting with the European Union's top delegation, consisting of Jean-Claude Juncker, Johannes Hahn and Frederica Moghrini, President Thaci has spoken at a news conference.

Thaci has said that this delegation's visit gives meaning and support to quick steps on our road to EU membership, Periscopi reports.

Thaci has said he expects Kosovo to be treated equally to all.

“We expect equal treatment and clarification on our way forward, because this will bring stabilisation and peace to the entire region”, Thaci said.

Thaci has also talked about dialogue with Serbia, where he has thanked for Frederica Moghrin's commitment and patience, and has said Kosovo remains committed to this process.

President Thaci has also talked about the demarcation issue.

We all understand why today the Assembly failed to ratify the demarcation. However, I am convinced that the deal will be passed in the coming days and I am convinced that once that happens, Juncker and the EU will do their job and will end the isolation of Kosovo citizens”, Thaci said. /Periscopi/
