SBASK goes on strike for failing to implement agreement signed by Haradinaj

85 %s of SBASK membership have supported the union actions presented by the union's chairman, Nundim Jasharaj regarding the failure to realise the point that will be prosecuted in the Kosovo Assembly in 2017, the draft bill drafted by August regarding the status of education workers for the 1990s.
The SBASK chairman, Nundman Jasharaj, has proposed on February 14th, Wednesday at the first hour to be held strike, which was approved by the Steering Council, as was the 2-hour teaching strike on February 20th. This second is only if this date doesn't reflect the Government.
Jasharaj has sought understanding from students and parents, as he put it, these actions are improving the history of Albanian education in the 1990s.
And to make these union decisions, the SBASK had submitted lists of signatures to all school institutions.
He has also stated that other actions will become known after the congress, which will convene on February 24th, where they will issue a resolution on how to act in terms of failing to implement the agreement signed on June 5, 2017.
The head of the SBASK, Nundman Jasharaj, said that if the government does not directly reflect their demands they will continue with strikes for days.
Jasharaj, in terms of full implementation of the new education contract, said that for all municipalities where it is not being implemented, they are sending the courses to the courts.
According to the United Trade Union for Education, Science and Culture except for nests, on February 14th on strike are all primary, high school and public university in the Republic of Kosovo.
Otherwise, the consensus agreement signed by the United Education, Science and Culture Union (SBASHK) and the current ruling coalition PDK-AAK-NISMA included these points:
1. A commitment to improving the overall find in the education sector and to the Government's key priority
2. With the Coalition's Victory P DK-AAK-NISMA in the elections, the new government will engage and enable full implementation of the new education contract signed on April 18th 2017.
- Within 2017, the draft law drafted by August over the status of education workers for the 1990s will be prosecuted in the country.
4. The labour law will change and support the SBASK's proposals for changing this law.
5. The wage law will include concrete proposal by SBASK and August regarding the education sector.
6. There will be debate with trade unions when the budget bill is listed and the right ideas and requirements of union participants are respected.
