Prosecutor reacts to Rexhep Selimi's statements about Alexander Lumez

To MPs Rexhep Selimi's statements, he has reacted today through one, as described as the Special Prosecutorship of the Republic of Kosovo, naming his claims of falsification of Alexander Lumez's jurprodeence exam false, pausal and biased.

Respecting the post that Republika Kosovo Parliament deputy Rexhep Selimi, the State Prosecutor, recalls that the competent local constitutional organs (responsible by EULEX) have issued a legal decision proving that State Chief Prosecutor Aleksander Lumuz has regularly passed the jurisdictional exam, said in clarification.

So we invite the people's elected representatives to refrain from false statements and against legitimate decisions of the state bodies. These representatives would have to promote law enforcement and decisions of state bodies, rather than making unfounded, biased statements.

These political speeches constitute a negative practice that harms the heads of institutions and the law enforcement by independent constitutional institutions, as well as can be considered interventions in the conduct of functions independently and objectively, on the principles of legitimacy and equality before the law.

We finally ensure that the State Prosecutor's Institute will not support any individual who has violated or broken the laws of this country, but the State Prosecutor works and will continue to work on the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and the law, not according to the expectations of certain persons, is said to end the clarification.
