The State Prosecutor has clarified today's action liaison in northern Mitrovica, where two police officers were arrested in connection with the murder of Oliver Ivanovic.
Prosecutor Ayazi Rexha, who is investigating the case, has confirmed that the arrest of two police officers relates to the way the scene was preserved after the incident.
“They have been in charge of guarding the scene and have not done their task properly”, Rex told CALLXO.com
He has clarified that they are investigating the consequences of police actions.
News of the arrests of two station police officials in northern Mitrovica revealed tonight the Police Inspectorate. According to the Inspectorate communiqué, these officials were arrested under suspicion of evidence manipulation.
The inspector reports that in addition to the arrests, two locations in northern Mitrovica have been raided at the order of the prosecutor and court.
In the afternoon, IPK and KP investigators have implemented the ordinance issued by the Constitutional Court in Mitrovica, and two locations in North Mitrovica have been raided by the communiqués.
During the “raids, a TT-type gun has been confiscated, as well as two rounds of .7.62 mm calibre bullets that will serve for further criminal procedure”.
The detainees have been assigned a 48-hour police ban.
Meanwhile, Kosovapress reports that their arrest has come after the same ones are suspected in the case of the Serbian politician's murder, Oliver Ivanovic.
Kosovo Serb politician and Civic Initiative Chairman “Leary, Democracy, Justice” Oliver Ivanovic was killed in northern Mitrovica on 16 January.
He was buried a day later in Belgrade.
Serbia has called for involvement in Ivanovic's murder investigation, while the two states are indirectly exchanging information on this murder,
