Hoxha hopes that political parties have understood the seriousness of meeting international obligations and will vote on the Vienna Agreement so Kosovo can gain visa liberalisation.
During this interview for “Zen” she also said Kosovo has made positive steps in the next criterion for visa liberalisation, which is fighting organised crime and corruption.
Even, according to Minister Hoxha, Kosovo has moved for 10 countries to the best in fighting crime and that in the Balkans we are second in rank by aspiring states for membership in the European Union.
“We cannot give concrete deadlines on when free citizens can travel to the Schengen Zone, as all legislative procedures depend on internal mechanisms of EU institutions. However, what we can say is that expectations of the Ministry of European Integration are that all this procedure will not last more than 6 months from the ratification date of the Demarket Agreement. Such a timeline is realistic, as it has been applied in the concrete case of visa liberalisation in the past with third countries”, Minister Hoxha has said. /Sound/
