In Pristina, two-day workshops are being held for the assessment, revision and amendment of the annual National Strategy for Trafficking Against Human Trafficking 2015-2019.
This worker was opened by the head of the Department of Internal Affairs Secretariat, Naim Muja.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Milan Radojevic, who is also the national co-ordinator of the National Anti-People Trafficking Strategy, stressed that human trafficking is a very important topic.
“Fighting human trafficking is a global challenge, with Kosovo not exempt. We need to have co-operation with the whole group in order to have better results and better treatment for victims of trafficking”, said Radojevic, with whom he thanked O The SEU is constantly supporting this strategy.
Also, Radojevic stressed his commitment that, along with all partners, maximum efforts be made in prevention, treatment and shelter of trafficking victims.
While Vesna Vujovic from O'S mission The SEU said Kosovo remains a country of origin and transitor of trafficking victims.
“up until now 32 victims have been identified, which remains a large number for a country like Kosovo”, she said, suggesting that O The SEU remains committed to continuing support for the MPB and the Secretariat of strategies in particular.
