Russian human rights activist dies at age 91

Renowned Russian human rights activist Lyudmila Alekseyeva has passed away at the age of 91.

Alekseyeva, also known as the dissident of the Soviet Union, has passed away in a Moscow hospital after a long illness, writes Goal.

For nearly seven decades it has defended human rights during and after the Soviet Union's breakup.

She is known as a bold activist because she has repeatedly pressured the Soviet authorities to improve human rights, and at times she has been threatened with life for this.
