The Kosovo Army vote by the Kosovo Assembly has received foreign media attention. Reuters reports that despite Serbia's opposition and NATO criticism, Kosovo has voted to transform the KSF into the military.
Kosovo's “Parliament has voted Friday to create 5,000 military troops, a week after Serbia has declared that this decision could provoke intervention from Belgrade”, Reuters writes, broadcast Kosovas Press.
“Legislation for transforming the armed Kosovo Security Force, created mainly for crisis response, civil protection and the removal of artillery from the 1990s conflict, has been adopted by 105 deputies in the 120-seat Assembly”, the British Reuters wrote among other things.
