Kosovo police case after Demaj's murder: Supposedly beaten by robbers

A few hours after completing the trial process at the Peja Court of Ylber Metaj defender has complained that his client has been beaten by police.

Ylber Metaj was arrested last night under suspicion that he had helped Kamer Metaj perform the robbery in the Istog bank, during which Metaj killed police officer Izet Demaj.

Uykan Metat's defender, one of the suspects in last night's robbery in Istog, lawyer Arben Kelmendi, said his client was beaten and mistreated by police.

“During consultation with my defense and during the hearing session, my client stressed that he was beaten by police and mistreated by the police, after that I instructed him with a request for medical assistance at the emergency centre in Pec, as the right foot could not put him on the ground”, said lawyer Arben Kelmendi.
