Politics has again dominated the sport. Despite the pressure made, the Government of Spain has refused to allow Kosovo karateists to compete with local symbols at the karate World Championships, which began in Madrid on Tuesday, writes Koha Ditore today.
The government of Spain has also banned the Kosovo flag from showing up in the hall where the competitions of the year's main event in karate are being held, while it has not even been allowed on the back of Kosovo contestants to be short on the country's name, KOS, as in other racers. Instead of cutting for the name of Kosovo, contestants have had the acronym for the World Federation of Karate, WKF.
There has been no reaction in the country to the next injustice to Kosovo athletes.
The Federation of Karate in Kosovo has chosen silence, while for unfair treatment it is declared only after the newspaper's request.
Even the Kosovo Olympic Committee has chosen not to give any public statements, although the newspaper has learned there has been corruption between the KOK and the International Olympic Committee for the Troubles of Kosovo Sportsmen in Madrid/ Edsim Magera.
