So said Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Fatmir Bytyqi during a news conference, where he stressed that these actions are freezing schools in Kosovo to another level.
Minister Bytyqi has made this decision, given the major complaints they have had from school principals, parents, but students themselves.
He said that this decision will increase the students' awareness that the phone during the education process is only an obstacle. While, he stressed, the phone is not currently used for learning knowledge in our schools.
We believe in and we have to apply it... we've analysed it and it turns out that we don't have just a barrier, but it actually doesn't use anything to get knowledge. If they need research, they need to be done overtime. Schools can be digitized, but there are other forms that can help process digitization. The best mechanism is the school principal... if he doesn't manage it properly, he doesn't do it, he'll be responsible on the basis of the laws in force... but there will be monitoring mechanism, it will be and the education inspectorate that will have a responsibility in implementing this decision, but we're not the ones who think that only with punitive measures will happen something good”, the Minister Bytyqi said.
Bytyqi added that in the coming month all things will be clarified in terms of that decision, as the whole decision is expected to come up and implement by then.
“During December all things will be clarified, we'll have all the details, we'll be informed about all the actions that will be part of this decision. A significant role will be played by parents themselves, along with school principals ... with this decision and these actions we are raising a higher level in schools”, the minister concluded.
Otherwise, there are several other countries, including Albania, who have banned phone use in school objects.
