Xhelili e Selimi, but also Haxhi Shala, have been in Caglavica locality in the outskirts of Pristina, inhabited mainly by Serbs, in a public hearing of bills intended to advance the mission and the Security Force mandate (FSK). All three have had positions in the KLA hierarchy, the guerrilla who two decades ago launched the fight against Serbia's regime, from which Kosovo has been liberated even thanks to NATO military intervention. Serbs feel the trauma from NATO's KLA, and are now opposed to the KSF being transformed into the military.
The three MPs, members of the parliamentary Commission for the supervision of the KSF, have tried to convince Serbs who had responded to the invitation for public hearings, that the army will not oppose them, that it will be multiethnic and that its members in the future will be part of joint peacekeeping missions abroad along with Serbia's soldiers.
