The case is among the cases targeted for visa liberalisation.
Buya was accused of misusing the official position in connection with a memorandum of understanding signed by the Lipjan municipality with the company “NW Co Feronicl Complete LL. C.”
Along with Buya charged in this case are Nebit Zeqiri, Halit Gashi, Fahri Retkoceri, Hasim Visegrad, Edmond Rexhepi, Dritton Avdiu, Burim Kodra, Bajram Rizani and Magbule Sadiku.
Three of these accused at the time they were charged were officials in the Lipjan municipality.
The Lipjan municipality at the time it was headed by Shukri Buya, on March 21, 2008, had signed a memorandum with “NW Co Feronicl Complete LL. C.” renting this company a lab building in Lipjan.
According to the indictment, the memorandum was defined as “NW Co Feronicl Complete LL. C.” paid from one euro per month rent for the laboratory facility, while the company was given this laboratory for 10 years.
That's what the prosecution claimed was done to the Lipjan municipality.
On April 28th, Bouja was acquitted of the charges she was charged with. /Kallex/
