Bestwood Village resident, who has served with the Royal Arterial Regiment, has now been nominated for Nottingham Post Heroes, the award in the category of Armed Forces, reports Klan Kosova.
The 59-year-old joined the armed forces as a military boy in 1976 and initially engaged in Germany in 1977.
He also served as military in Northern Ireland, Canada and the peacekeeping mission in Kosovo and Kuwait during the First Gulf War.
In 2000, he left the army and returned to his hometown of Nottingham, Britain, and continued to become Secretary of the Royal Arterial Association and is also the representative of the Midland region of the National Executive Committee of the Royal Artile Society.
