Turkey's Foreign Minister, Mevluut Cavusoglu yesterday and today has visited Kosovo, where during a news conference with his Kosovo counterpart, he has asked Kosovo institutions to hand over the gylenists, who have called them terrorists, and at the same time urged Kosovars not to send their children to Fetullah Gylen.
Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has been asked by Kosovo Press how he will act against that request of the Turkish state, but he said such a thing is not mentioned at their meeting. After the insistence, however, Haradinaj said that if Turkey asks for such a thing, the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo will act in confert.
Haradinaj: We Will Act Conform Constitution Laws
It's good to appreciate what I'm saying, for example, we're having a conversation, now I have a hypothetical speech, it's making sense, if we have demands, we follow the Constitution, the laws of Kosovo, we have respect for the Republic of Turkey, you know that. My answer is also concrete. We don't have that. If asked, then we talk, when they ask, we talk. But today I have not been following such a request, today it has not been part of the” discussion, Haradinaj said.
As for the meeting he had with Turkish Foreign Minister Haradinaj today, it was a working meeting related to co-operation between the two countries, and simultaneously confirmed that Kosovo has Turkey's vote for Interpol.
Haradinaj: Turkey to vote for Kosovo in Interpol
“has been a very productive conversation -- namely, about relations between Kosovo and Turkey -- overall security co-operation, in politics, in the economy and in the external plan. I have asked for Kosovo's help in Interpol and several other important international processes, we have received the promise that the Republic of Turkey will support Kosovo with the vote in Interpol, even with support on this topic of”, Haradinaj has said.
Meanwhile, six Turkish citizens were deported from Kosovo to Turkey this year with the co-operation of the two countries. Among them were five teachers and a doctor.
