The event took place about 5am Saturday morning in Cavala.
The car where 11 immigrants traveled has crashed into a truck. The violent crash caused both vehicles to burst into flames.
The 11 victims were trapped in the car by burning alive.
According to Kavala's first traffic department estimates, the van's high speed driver has lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the truck.
Because of troop burns, police cannot identify victims, so they have requested a forensic examination and DNA tests.
The 39-year-old driver of the truck owned by a Greek citizen, living in Kryanis Kavalas, was easily injured.
