Three sisters from Australia, looking for <x0 cells” in Albania

Giovanni Mottton, Francesca Mills and Yvonne Duckitt are three sisters who traveled from Australia to find their father's roots and relatives in Albania.

Wessel Chereneci left Elbasan before the liberation and was unable to return. He married an Italian woman with four children, three daughters, and a son. Wessel was separated from his very young life, but his daughters, now elderly ladies, have come to Elbasan looking for their relatives.

We're from Australia and we're here to find relatives from our father. He was born in Albania, migrated to Italy, 1940, and in 1946 he married a beautiful Italian lady, our mother. We've always known where our father came from, what he was doing, but we've never known our relatives, say Giovanni.

The decision to come to Albania was taken together because something was missing in their past and life without it would not be complete. While Albania was love at first sight.

I love Albania. I can't wait to go back to Australia, tell my friends about Albania. I'm trying to find the words to describe. It's old, it's new, it's interesting, it's beautiful, it's the number a”, says Francesca.

I hope I'll be back. I'd like to come back and spend more time in Albania and, above all, stay in touch with our relatives now here, and they're full of”, says Giovanni.

The three sisters will also go to Debar to find their father's birth certificate - a document that matters very much to them.

His “Certificate would be something with which we can move forward, we'll learn about his parents, because we don't know anything about them. And that letter is an inheritance for us and our children”, Yvonne said.

With the same desire, the rest of the family had long sought a sign from their family member Vesel Chereneci, and fate wanted the children to meet.
