Sheriff: Time to tell Hashim Thaci that he cannot dialogue for Kosovo

The sheriff, speaking at “Dosier D” on RTV Dukaagjini, has said there are two positions for dialogue with Serbia at the moment.

We have two different positions in terms of dialogue with Serbia. On the one hand is the position of President Thaci, who is his personal attitude. On the other hand, we have a position of the government of the Republic of Kosovo, which has been consistently declared, at least publicly, that they are against exchange of territories with Serbia”, the Sheriff said.

“Prime Minister Haradinaj has made it clear he will not be at a table discussing Kosovo territory. Mr. Chairman made it clear. Limaj that it will only go to Brussels with constitutional mandate”, he said, submits Telegrafi.

The Sheriff has said Haradinaj and Limaj's statements for the borders are already not enough.

Thaci is insisting on his idea. Therefore, it seems to me that it is time to say Thaci that you cannot represent Kosovo in the dialogue, as long as you refuse to harmonise the joint presidency-government platform”, Bilall the Sheriff said.

According to the chairman of the Social Democrat Initiative Parliamentary Group, Haradinaj must receive the mandate of talks by Thaci.

“Thaci must either hand over Haradinaj the mandate of the talks, or Haradinaj should ask Thaci for this mandate and lead talks”, the ruling coalition deputy said.
