Albania's prime minister, Edi Rama, has issued strict statements on what he has called representatives of the underworld.
According to him, the perpetrators of criminal acts who are convicted will be barred from any communication with the outside world.
“We have decided to undertake a legal amendment to the suspects, or to convicts in involvement in organised crime or even terrorist organisations that will be subjected to a new strict isolation and monitoring regime by disrupting any internal and external communication at all times of detention and punishment suffering. These kinds of crime world representatives will have very limited contact with other human beings and very strictly monitored, as long as the suffering of sentence”, Rama has said.
Rama added that they have decided to install monitoring cameras repeatedly in each prison.
“We have established the establishment of an operational monitoring hall not stop with high-security prison cameras, beginning in the 313 prison, and from the operation building “the law force”. While a non-stop monitoring hall of all Albania's peritentian institutions will be established in the Internal Prison Control Service. This leads prison safety to an unknown level of”, Rama said.
