The Democratic League of Kosovo warns that it will soon prosecute the no-confidence motion against the Haradinaj government in the country. Representatives of this political subject have said that they will also prepare the text of the motion and that they are keeping in touch with MPs who are in the ruling coalition, and that they expect to join the motion for the collapse of the government.
The current government, led by Ramush Haradinaj, has lost its legitimacy for the Democratic League of Kosovo. Therefore, this party considers that early elections are inevitable within this year. MP Ismet Beqiri told public television they also expect coalition deputies, who, according to him, are unhappy with this government, to vote on the motion proposed by the LDK.
“The LDK now has its signatures ready, this readiness is also expressed by VV and PSD. The motion text will now be prepared and we are keeping in touch with all those who are in the ruling coalition, and who are dissatisfied, to join this motion and support us for the collapse of this government”, Beqiri said.
But, MP Time Kadrijaj, who comes from Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's party, AAK, stresses that the current government is proving successful in its work. She even says that this coalition will send the mandate to the end.
The ruling “coalition is stable and the government led by Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj is working well. So there are results seen and affecting the citizen of Kosovo. It is working on visa liberalisation, Kosovo's membership in international organisations and on many important topics”, Kadrijaj said.
But, Ismet Beqiri, from the LDK, stresses that the ruling coalition has already lost the majority in the Assembly and has no political power to make decisions, whatever they may be.
It's a minority coalition, in the sense of numbers in the Assembly. Currently, the report is 58 deputies with 42 in favour of the opposition. When we speak from 100 Albanian deputies and when we take even minorities, they now have a fragile majority, which they do not actually have. This means that this coalition is not able to make any decision, nor even to hold sessions”, he said.
Meanwhile, the LDK, as the largest opposition party, has indicated that it will not participate in any session until their call for the opposition resolution for the Kosovo dialogue is prosecuted until Serbia.
