Yesterday a survivor of sexual violence in Kosovo publicly disappointed her experience. But this time the enemy is not Serbian society, but Kosovo society. Her achievement yesterday is in accordance with our society, not with the Serb regime or society. Her words only weigh when we counterweight the 20-year silence of all raped women. A silence dictated by the values of this society. From the gross shameless capital he owns, and from the liquefy to set values by whispering and slandering.

Two things matter from what we saw yesterday: 1) The lady in question did not live in Kosovo, but in America and 2) her husband was not part of this society.

It is said that 20 thousand people, mainly women, were sexually violated during the war in Kosovo. This strange branch, or victim, does not bear the word of the victim. In the public discourse, the failure of these people is expressed in the phrase “don't victimize! ” But what is forbidden to individuals is lawful for society. The victimisation was the cornerstone of crimes in the past [Unfortunately for the other side] and remains the central element of cultivating our nationalism against the other side, Serbia.

For an individual-victimism, victimization can be his truth/her, and the weapon of war within a slandering society. To resist the word of these people means to disarm and suspend the truth. Yesterday's public confession is an important event. However, it is only important that we do not let the long period of silence be broken. If we don't leave the stigma unscathed, which has climbed into society's impolite austerity.

First, massive sexual assaults on women in war are not spontaneous, just to vent their heads. They make up certain communication between warring parties. A communication of patriarchal values. The Serbian side knew what Albanian manhood and its honour were about. As with Bosniaks, humiliation and exhumation were beyond the zones of war holes. Beyond the body of warriors. Degradation and desertion occurred when the woman's body was affected. When in particular her sex organ was touched, a commodity and an honorary point. We were dealing with a well-thought strategic move. Where the woman, Albanian or Serbian, was not counted.

Imagine that, right after the war, thousands of women publicly confessed what they had experienced. Even cultivating collective memory of war, legalizing war would be totally different.

As was the strategic violation of women by Serbian soldiers, so was the closure of the victims' mouths for so long. And today, war may be lost. Because memories of her are no longer fresh. Because confession of war has not included their word. And because, from a long distance of time, society already has its old ears. Mrs. Krasniqi's report last night, doesn't screw anyone up, for the worse, is used as another element to vent reproach on the other and label yourself.

This case should not be used to sow hatred of Serbian society. No, the fault is elsewhere. The fault is the patriarchism. The fault is in the values and methods through which this society places and maintains them.

Let's not forget: this society continues to commit violence against women daily: it gives them its uncle, it denies their rights, puts a hundred times more serious moral burden than men, and denigrates them into serious words that are then translated into terrible social positions.
