“I think it would be good for Belgrade to have a policy for Kosovo, after all, is your neighbour. In the end, you will not succeed if you don't know him, as well as when you will do that is your problem, but this should be done at some point and that requires strong guidance “, he told Serbian television N1.
According to former EU mediators in the Brussels dialogue, the exchange of territory between Serbia and Kosovo is not necessarily a bad idea, but must be developed very carefully.
Cooper said such things are very difficult for political leaders and that time should be given in such situations.
He said the fact that the leader of Serbia and Kosovo are speaking seriously about this issue is encouraging.
Cooper is participating in the eighth consecutive Security Forum in Belgrade, where Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen is also in attendance.
