During this meeting, Chief Prosecutor Lumezi has announced Ambassador Lebet's functioning and efficiency of the Kosovo Prosecutorial System, and specifically the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo.
Also, Lumez has said that the main challenge of the State Prosecutor's Office remains the fight against corruption, war crimes, organised crime, terrorism, the carrying of subjects from EULEX to local prosecutors dealing with war crimes cases, and has stressed that despite difficulties justice institutions must overcome all of this, to achieve better results in investigating and punishing crime.
This meeting also discussed international judicial co-operation, where the two conversationators praised the co-operation so far, while stressing the need to boost the co-operation of the State Prosecutor with Switzerland in collecting information about criminal acts that could affect these two countries.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Lebet has praised the work the State Prosecutor is doing, and has offered his and the Swiss state support to further assist the Kosovo prosecutorial system on all issues Switzerland can contribute to increasing the efficiency of this system.
At the end of the meeting, Chief Prosecutor Lumezi has thanked Ambassador Lebet and the state of Switzerland for the continued support it is providing for the entire Kosovo prosecutorial system.
