The Special Court has at least deserved Kosovo to happen, but it will happen even though there are hundreds of arguments that speak against it! It is the injustice being done in the name of righteousness. We have to be prepared and do all we can to make state damage as small as possible. It's not a matter of individual luck. The issue is unjust damage from the doctrine of moral equality of parties involved in the war.

Drama

This scripture was arranged for publication several days before last year's festivals. The reason the publication was left behind the holidays concerns the fact that the holiday days of citizens are not charged more with serious Kosovo policy themes. Even so, it must be acknowledged, politics in Kosovo, with the anger, resentment and negative energy of its different actors, has become a heavy burden on the lives of our citizens.

December 22nd was a dramatic day. Her dramatization, of course, contributed to all of us who are in politics and others who speak and write about politics from different points and interests of the day.

The initiative of several Kosovo Parliament deputies to abolish a controversial court prompted explosive reactions in political circles and those of free media speculation.

In addition to some concerns of pragmatic character, that night there was no lack of political acting and expressions of resentment and typical Balkan revanscism.

For a rare time, political forces took on clear positions within the ongoing drama.

The LDK, traditionally apathy, was hyperactive that night. It was apparent that it wanted to exploit the moment of the strong “positioning” against, the internationals towards the initiative, to hit “the old wartime enemies”, who were trying to stop “Special Court. Of course, in the background of this LDK stance, there was nothing but the idea that the crackdown on its opponents implies advantage of the return to power. Everything else was just cynicism and empty rhetoric, including that of solving serious cases of political crime (still not named by any court verdict).

On the other hand, the Vetevendosje party, so self-declared as revolutionary and inconsistent to internationals, set the example that night of an extreme regime. A major revolutionary jump from “idealism of uncompromis” into brutal opportunism. Granted, for one single reason: Special Court as a chance to come to power.

These opposition positions, as well as the alarm for the end of the world by politicised individuals within civil society and media, clearly showed who we are and what we are for each other!

Moreover, the sudden development of the event that night proved an unuttered truth until then that enthusiasm for the Special Court was not just demand and external desire. Unfortunately, it was also the internal requirement of the political struggle for power and the irresolute row!

December 22 as a Lesson

December 22nd night was unusual.

Although past, it must remain a lesson for all of us!

First, the initials, when considering the abolition of the Special Court, should have thought it better - even the reaction against!

In their failure, they showed that they were not prepared and serious to push their initiative forward. It means that they were unwilling to take responsibility!

One thing life has taught us: When you start something, you need to take responsibility, and that is not by running away from it.

The LDK on the other hand must understand that defeating political opponents, through courts, is not the right way to power.

The need for enlightenment of crimes against LDK activists, as well as other crimes committed in Kosovo, still undiscovered, is necessary and national interest. It's not only LDK, it's all Kosovo!

I said it in the vault and I repeat: The PDK will give support to any action, initiative or demand to reach this goal to the end, but their treatment as party capital to gain and retain power will remain one of the most serious segments of political immorality in post-war Kosovo.

Furthermore, the LDK, nothing but a mandate, all the time after 1999, has been in power in Kosovo and has made no concrete steps for lighting up these killings and establishing justice.

On the other hand, the Vetevendosje party must understand that there are tricks in politics, but that doesn't mean the whole politics is fraud. Their political rebellion would have to serve the strengthening of the state, not its destruction, as we have seen so far.

On the night of December 22nd, this scary party has witnessed how manipulative and unprincipled in its political stances! In recent days, the falsehood of their principled rhetoric has become the head of the media.

For Western partners

Our Western partners are a positive part of the journey towards our freedom and statehood.

Our Western orientation is complete and at least. This orientation is not just geostrategic definition. It's national identity as well, so there's no need to be tested in this direction and in the actual fragility of our state existence.

Kosovo cannot be treated as a state without state, nor can delays in ending international subjectivity be transformed into permanent condition.

The abnormality transformed into normality is a formula for instability and food for old tensions.

Kosovo needs support and understanding, so that from the current stalemate situation -- we move forward, not give hope to dark forces that want to turn history back and plunge the Balkans into uncertainty and instability.

Kosovo has its real problems, but their exaggeration to justify isolation is unacceptable. The policy of double standards is unwarranted. It does not help anyone who wants to see the Balkans an integral part of Euro-Atlantic structures.

For the Special Court

At least the world has deserved Kosovo to happen, but it will happen even though there are hundreds of arguments speaking against it! It is the injustice being done in the name of righteousness!

My attitude towards her remains what I said in the country two years ago. We couldn't stop him then. December 22nd only witnessed this! But all we can do is not be so enthusiastic and naive in unrealistic expectations and not harbor vengeance.

We have to be prepared and do all we can to make state damage as small as possible. It's not a matter of individual luck. The issue is unjust damage from the doctrine of moral equality of parties involved in the war.

In this context, my fellow fighters, I tell them to keep quiet and dignified, as they have always been. Be proud, not only of the war we have fought and the success we have achieved, but of trying to do even more for the state of Kosovo.

No one will be able to embarrass us for the war we have fought, at least the Special Court. Only personal egos can do that for the benefit or fake veterans' books.

To End

Of all these negative stories, we have to draw something positive at the end. Clearly, we are approaching a moment that we can call the beginning of the end of major manipulations in Kosovo.

It's paid and paid a lot of money for all this. The immediate challenge ahead is this: Can we get out of the vicious circuit of these years?

By no means!

It's time to do things differently.

First, our opinion, our citizens and society in general need us as a political class to depreciate anger as the engine of thinking and political action.

We cannot walk further dominated by the psychology of negative emotions of personal anger, resentment, hatred and exclusive approach. Once and for all time has gone the time of those who want to become heroes, showing who the traitors are.

Second, we must eventually find the common language of national consensus for the course the country will take, for the closure of statehood, for the rule of law, the fight against corruption, the enterprise of a comprehensive veto for senior state officials and the opening of economic perspective for Kosovo citizens.

Together we can launch a positive and developmental agenda for our country. It's imperative we do it.

The entire history of our people is filled with evidence that in times of distress, anger has been put aside to give a chance to unite.

Today is the time to testify, more powerful than ever, that we are worthy representatives of this proud people.
