Ramadan Muja today before court

Today, the trial of former Prizren leader Ramadan Muja and other former officials of this municipality, accused along with him of criminal abuse of office and official authority, will continue.

Displacement of the Muja trial and others by the Constitutional Court in Prizren in any other court had been requested on August 8th this year by the chairman of this court, Ymer Hoxha, with the reasoning that one of the criminal acts Muja was charged with linked to the criminal impeachment of the court in Prizren.

Then the Court of Appeals estimated that the Constitutional Court in Prizren is uncompetent to try this case, so it decided that the Department of the Ralf Crimes to Foundation Court in Gjilan has territorial competence for the judgment of the Muja and others.

Muja and others were accused of being misusing municipal property and managed by the Kosovo Privatisation Agency

The four-point indictment was sentenced to prison for two years, provided it fails to perform other criminal acts over three years. He also received a supplementary sentence, a ban on the exercise of long - term public functions.

In the same case tried by the Prizren Court, Minr Krasniqi, former director of the Public Administration, had been sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison on condition that for two years he does not commit another criminal act.

Krasniqi also has no right to exercise public office for 18 months.

Kadri Ukimer, former director of Geodesia, and Sadik Pasarizi, former director of Urbanism, were sentenced to 8 months in prison on condition that they do not commit another criminal act for two years.

Avni Ademiaj, former director of Geodesia and Kadastra, was sentenced to 5 months in prison on condition that for one year he does not cause other criminal acts.

Ramadan Muja case had gone up to Supreme Court, who had then returned him to the Court of Appeals. And then The Court of AppealHe had decided to turn the case into a retrial.
