Pacolli: Kosovo in silent international isolation due to attempt to abolish Special

The Kosovo Assembly, especially the Commission for Foreign Affairs, should be more engaged in parliamentary diplomacy abroad, Kosovo diplomacy chief Behgjet Pacolli has said.
The Commission for Foreign Affairs, Diaspore and Strategic Investment, under the chairmanship of President Vjosa Osmani, has held the next meeting today, in which the first deputy prime minister, Behgjet Pacolli, has reported at the same time.
Minister Pacolli's report concerned the situation in the foreign service of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as the performance regarding recognition of Kosovo independence.
In this case, Minister Pacolli noted that diplomatic engagement is not only a matter of a ministry or any institution, but, according to him, this is a question that all state mechanisms should be engaged.
Pacolli disclosed that the Serbian state for their diplomatic service has allocated more than $300m and has engaged a team of 20 people, aimed at preventing Kosovo's integration into international mechanisms.
During his exhibition, the minister also indicated that the state of Egypt has not changed its attitude towards our country, meanwhile, underlined that Madagascar through a verbal note sent to Kosovo, as well as Serbia, has confirmed its gratitude for Kosovo.
Regarding the MPJ's commitment to membership in international mechanisms, the minister announced that a working group has been formed within the ministry, aimed at drafting a plan for concrete engagements of the ministry.
The minister next disclosed the state of diplomatic service within the ministry, as well as the performance of the ambassadors' appointment. In this regard, he indicated that the MPJ is being reformed and for that it has formed a commission that will present the overall organisational situation in the MPJ during February, as well as the state of diplomatic service within the ministry.
Pacolli also underlined the damages that he said would bring parliamentary initiatives for abolishing Special Court Chambers, meanwhile, praised that as a result of this initiative, a silent isolation of Kosovo is being observed.
